I know my Mac OS files still exist because if I go to Disk Utility ->Restore, and then browse for a source, I can still view my files and folders under Macintosh HD. I'm very unknowledgeable about this kind of stuff and am desperate for any kind of help! I don't know why this happened, and I havent done anything else in fear of making it worse. To copy files over to Windows, select them and then click the Extract button. And now you can access all of the files and folders in macOS from Windows via Boot Camp. If you have more than one, select the one you want to access, then click OK.
